Insurance Press Conference
House Majority Floor Leader Kathy Angerer (Dundee) discusses the need to protect consumers from abusive insurance practices know as "bad faith" or "wrongful denial" at a press conference at the Capitol on August 19, 2009. Angerer was joined by lawmakers and supporters to discuss legislation to outlaw the practices, which are tactics to delay or deny legitimate insurance claims in order to maximize a company's profits.
