DUNDEE – State Representative Kathy Angerer (D-Dundee) today announced she will hold her annual Senior Citizens Conference on Aug. 13 at Dundee High School.
"Today's seniors know there is a lot more to aging than just growing old," Angerer said. "This conference will help seniors in our community ensure that their golden years are healthy and fulfilling."
The conference is free. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be provided in the morning and a free lunch will be offered as well. Conference sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
The conference is scheduled from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 13 in Dundee's air-conditioned high school located at 130 Viking Drive.
The conference will feature free health screenings, exhibits by local non-profits and businesses, and sessions on topics ranging from home energy efficiency programs to flower arrangement. Magician Jeff Wawrzaszek will provide entertainment during lunch.
"I hope everyone will join me for what promises to be an enjoyable and productive day," Angerer added. "I'm looking forward to sharing this exciting opportunity with seniors from our community."
