LANSING – State Representative Kathy Angerer (D-Dundee) was recently recognized by the Michigan Pharmacists Association for her work promoting positive health care initiatives.
"I work hard every day to promote initiatives that safeguard public safety and protect the health and well-being of all our citizens," Angerer said. "When we work together as a community to promote positive health care plans, everyone benefits."
The Michigan Pharmacists Association recently presented Angerer with an award to honor her efforts to support good public health policy, citing her bipartisan approach to seek "the best possible solutions to issues through the legislative process."
Last year, Angerer was recognized by the Michigan Department of Community Health as a "Public Policy Champion."
As chair of the House Health Policy Committee, Angerer has brought focus to the Legislature's approach to improving
health care in Michigan. Angerer's priorities include access to quality and affordable health care; innovation in the
health care field; and promoting patient safety and wellness.
"Working families have been hit hard by difficult economic times, and as a State Representative, I do everything I can
to find ways to keep health care costs down while improving quality of care," Angerer said. "I am looking forward to
continuing to work in a positive, bipartisan fashion to move our state forward."
