Stone on Warren human trafficking bust

Friday, December 20, 2019

WARREN — Warren police announced early this morning that they had arrested 46 men and women as part of one of the largest human trafficking and prostitution sting operations in southeast Michigan. In response, state Rep. Lori Stone (D-Warren) issued the following statement:

“Human trafficking is a scourge on our state and our nation that preys on the most vulnerable members of our community while allowing abuse and gender violence to flourish in the shadows. I am tremendously grateful for the work done by Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer, and all our brave men and women in uniform for their efforts in breaking up this widespread trafficking ring. My colleagues and I stand ready to provide whatever support we can to finally eliminate human trafficking in Michigan once and for all.”
